Due to the recent aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, the Houston Astros had no choice but to relocate their series versus the Texas Rangers. It took some time to decide where to play this series at but, a final decision was made. Tropicana Field will be the new home for the Houston Astros during their three game series starting Tuesday. The Rays will still be on the road so therefore, the Astros may be there a little longer following the series versus the Texas Rangers. With the Tampa Bay Rays are on a road trip, it was the obvious choice on where to host the games. Tropicana Field is an enclosed dome which makes this move the right one.
“The safety of our fans, players and staff remain our main priority,” said Astros president of business operations Reid Ryan in a written statement. “We are extremely grateful to the Tampa Bay Rays organization for allowing us to use their facility. We’ll make a decision on this weekend’s series vs. the Mets in the upcoming days as we continue to monitor the conditions. In the meantime, our thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected by the Hurricane.” https://www.google.com/amp/amp.usatoday.com/story/608163001/
